After moving to Virginia Beach from New York City, I joined my first affiliate in January 2018 to simply get in better shape. I had no background in athletics, and while I was initially intimidated, the community welcomed me with open arms. I quickly improved and desired to compete and eventually, share and coach others to gain the physical and social benefits CrossFit gave me. That inspired me to earn my CrossFit Level 1 in 2019. Along with making great friends, I learned about nutrition and health, and I credit CrossFit for leading me to nursing school. I love showing people how amazing CrossFit can be, from being a part of a welcoming community to crushing any physical goals!
